I'm a 3rd year PhD Candidate in International Business in the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research. I have an interest in how businesses pursue international opportunities, particularly in online environments. My professional career has spanned a range of roles in international marketing and management over 15 years, for start-ups, small businesses and multinationals. As part of this, I've lived, worked and studied in Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, and the UK. These experiences have inspired me to focus on the key decision-makers at the forefront of international businesses, to better understand what changes when they cross borders and cultures in the pursuit of new opportunities.

(2020 - linen, cotton, modal, polyester, galvanised steel wire)
This artefact is evolving from a practice-based research approach to my PhD experience. I am using textiles reclaimed and reassembled from clothing worn over the years of my research training. Just as I ask my research participants to reflect upon periods of emotional intensity in relation to their entrepreneurial businesses, I too consider the ebb and flow of my emotions as they surface and subside during the process of (re-)creating myself as an academic researcher.
